English professional football club from the city of the same name, located in the county of Merseyside. It was founded in 1892; the following year it joined the English Football League. Since its inception, it has been playing home games at the Anfield Stadium. The stadium was built in 1884, it was originally played by another Liverpool football club, Everton.[4] At the moment, "Anfield" accommodates about fifty-four thousand fans.
